La star des Philadelphia 76ers, qui a reçu le trophée du joueur le plus précieux de la ligue avant le début du match, a tenté d’éviter Jaylen Brown et Williams, tous deux allongés au sol. Cependant, Embiid a mal calculé son saut et a atterri directement sur la tête de ce dernier.
Williams a évité le pire et est même revenu dans le match au quatrième quart. Il aurait pu être gravement blessé : Embiid pèse 280 livres et ses chaussures sont de pointure 17 !
Le grand Camerounais est également allé voir Williams pour s’excuser plus tard dans le match.

Embiid avait 30 points pour les « Sixers », mais les Celtics ont gagné 114-102. L’équipe de Boston mène cette série de deuxième tour 2-1.
