
CHONGQING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) — Muhammad Shahbaz, a 37-year-old medical researcher from Pakistan, currently works at the neutron science institute (Chongqing) of the FDS consortium, focusing on the clinical application and international collaboration of precision radiotherapy technology.



In 2006, Shahbaz came to China from Pakistan to study medicine and has lived in the country for nearly two decades. « Chongqing not only boasts cutting-edge precision radiotherapy technology but also offers a comprehensive talent system that gives me a sense of belonging, » he said.


During his time in China, Shahbaz has built platforms to help Pakistani students pursue education in China and invited Chinese experts to provide guidance in Pakistan. He actively promotes Sino-Pakistani cooperation in medical education, scientific research, and digital healthcare, and helps more people in his home country benefit from China’s innovations.
